2,2-Azobisisobutyronitrile/AIBN

2,2-Azobisisobutyronitrile/AIBN is white crystalline or crystalline powder, insoluble in water, soluble in ether, methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate, benzene, etc.  In case of thermal decomposition, melting point 100℃-104℃.  It should be stored in a dry place at 20℃.  Nitrogen and -(CH2)2-C-CN organocyanide are liberated in the presence of water.  Decomposition temperature 64℃.  Slow decomposition at room temperature, 100℃ sharp decomposition.

Application:

Used as a vulcanizing agent, pesticide and intermediate in organic synthesis,polymerization initiator of polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl alcohol, polystyrene, polyacrylonitrile and other monomers
Used as a blowing agent for rubber and plastic, the dosage is 10% ~ 20%.
It is used as a catalyst for tissue embedding by methylacrylates.
