Calcium Thioglycolate
Calcium Thioglycolate Trihydrate is the calcium salt of thioglycolic acid. It is a fine milled white powder with a an alkaline pH-value of 11-12. It is an active ingredient in some hair removal products, so It is typically used as a depilatory agent. Calcium thioglycolate is much less irritant than potassium thioglycolate.
Application:
- Calcium Thioglycolate could be used for tanning leather.
- It is used as a chemical depilatory.
- It can be used as a metal ion monitoring reagent for chemical analysis.
