Dimethyl Phosphite

Dimethyl Phosphite is colorless oil liquid, b.p.265℃, n20D 1.4009, relative density 1.2004, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents.

Application :

Dimethyl phosphite can be directly used in the synthesis of organophosphorus insecticide trichlorfon, herbicide glyphosate, etc., and can also be used in the synthesis of other phosphorous containing intermediates, such as O, O-dimethyl phosphoryl chloride, O, o-dimethyl sulfide (alcohol) ammonium phosphate. In addition, it is also an important organic synthetic raw material for the production of organic phosphoric acid corrosion inhibitors, plastic additives, dye additives and textile flame retardants.

Used as lubricant additive, adhesive and intermediate in some organic synthesis. It is used to synthesize the insecticides Dimethoate oxide, methyl thiophosphorus and herbicide glyphosate.
