Yttrium Chloride Hexahydrate
Yttrium chloride hexahydrate is an inorganic compound of yttrium and chloride. It exists in two forms, the hydrate (YCl3(H2O)6) and an anhydrous form (YCl3). Both are colourless solids that are highly soluble in water and deliquescent.
Yttrium chloride hexahydrate Application:
Yttrium chloride hexahydrate is widely applied in electronic ceramics, glass, and phosphors. High purity grades are the most important materials for tri-bands Rare Earth phosphors and Yttrium-Iron-Garnets, which are very effective microwave filters. Yttrium is used in the production of a large variety of synthetic garnets, and Yttria is used to make Yttrium Iron Garnets, which are very effective microwave filters.
