Iron-Manganese Desulfurizer is a chemical agent specifically used to remove sulfides (such as hydrogen sulfide, organic sulfur, etc.) from gases or liquids. Its core function is to convert sulfides into harmless or easily separable substances through chemical reactions, thereby purifying the medium.

This product is a conversion and absorption dual-function desulfurizer with oxides of iron, manganese and zinc as the main active components.It can pyrolyze or hydrogenate various organic sulfurs into hydrogen sulfide,and can also remove hydrogen sulfide.It features high mechanical strength and no pulverization when exposed to water.It is mainly used for the fine removal of sulfides from sulfur-containing gases such as natural gas,oil field gas,water gas,semi-water gas,carbonized gas,shifted gas,coke oven gas,liquefied gas,biogas,CO₂and city gas.When the total sulfur content in the feed gas is 1~200ppm,the sulfur content in the purified gas is≤0.1ppm.

Working Principle (Dual Synergistic Mechanism)

The desulfurization process adopts a two-step synergistic reaction mechanism to completely remove all sulfur components in raw gas, realizing one-stop purification:

Step 1: Organic Sulfur Catalytic Conversion

Under high temperature conditions (200–450°C), manganese oxide components exert excellent catalytic activity, converting refractory organic sulfur such as COS, CS₂, mercaptans, thioethers and thiophene in industrial gas into inorganic hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) through pyrolysis, hydrogenolysis and hydrolysis reactions, solving the pain point that conventional desulfurizers cannot remove complex organic sulfur.

Step 2: Inorganic Sulfur Fixed Absorption

The generated H₂S rapidly reacts with active iron and manganese oxides to form stable metal sulfides, which are fixed on the catalyst surface, achieving deep sulfur removal. The bimetallic synergistic effect greatly improves desulfurization efficiency and sulfur capacity compared with single iron-based or manganese-based desulfurizers.

Fe₂O₃ + 3H₂S → Fe₂S₃ + 3H₂O
MnO₂ + 2H₂S → MnS + 2H₂O
